Flourless Gluten Free Basil & Beetroot Wrap Recipe
Healthy, ALL VEG flourless gluten free basil and beetroot wrap recipe. These are dairy, wheat and gluten FREE. Made with beetroot, basil, broccoli, kale and a few herbs and spices. RICH in folic acid and a FAB way to get a LOAD of veg down you in one hit! Taste Incredible!
I LOVE my flourless veg wraps (which you may have noticed by now, as I’ve posted quite a few veg wrap recipes already with similar ingredients…what can I say? I’m consistent).
This is my latest invention.
Why have I gone flourless?
Because you don’t always need flour! Simple.
Apart from that, you’re cutting out A LOT of calories and making room for MORE veg.
You can take a HEAP of veg and blitz it down to nothing.
It really is the BEST way to consume veg, especially if you have IBS or digestive issues like me.
This is actually my preferred way of eating veg.
These beetroot wraps taste earthly, tangy and bright while the basil adds a wonderfully sweet, aromatic taste of Italy.
Their not only INTENSE in flavour but are mesmerizing to look at.
Beetroot Frenzy
Yet, as all ways, you don’t have to add the spices and herbs I have.
You can add any spices and herbs that tickle your taste buds.
I LOVE Indian food so I do add A LOT of Indian based spices to many of my wrap recipes, especially Steenbergs organic fenugreek. I just love it!
But if you want an intense taste of basil and beetroot in your wraps, then just leave out the spices.
Just a little note:
If you find your beetroot wraps a little wet in texture, next time add 1 1/2 tbs of coconut flour and 1 1/2 tbs of psyllium husks.
That should sort it out.
Yet if you’ve followed the recipe correctly then you should be A-OK.
