VBurger Camden Market Review – Gluten Free
Everyone loves a burger, right? And it isn’t all about BK Whoppers and Big Macs ya know. VBurger Camden Market serves up a cracking array of vegan burgers for on the go.
Oh em gee, lend me your ears!
This was truly an insane experience…
Gluten free vegan burger with an unforgettable taste.
Packed with flavour and LOADED with veg, seeds, nuts and legumes.
Trust me, you don’t need to be a carnivore to become a convert.
VBurger Gluten Free Perfect Patty
They serve up a goodly selection of vegan burgers,
Yet only one is gluten free…
The fabulous Feisty Falafel.
A FAT patty made up of smashed chickpeas and sweet potato, seasoned with turmeric and cumin.
It looked like meat over a barbecue!!!
Drizzled with spiced harissa mayonnaise and tahini.
The harissa mayo made it!
And of course… topped with the classic tomato, lettuce and red onion.
Oh My Chickpea… What a Burger… loved it!
Hey, what happened to my lettuce??
Just realised I ain’t got no lettuce – Shortchanged there!
£7 quid a pop mind you, excluding the sides.
For that price, I’d expect my lettuce next time…ha!
£3.50 for a small side of sweet spuds…
Double GEEZ! I gave that a miss.
Although, I’ve heard the fries are delicate and crispy.
Truthfully, I was saving myself for some of OSU’ vegan pancakes around the corner. A must try!
Just to note:
The gluten free burger is cooked in the same oils etc.
So if you’re a celiac, probs best giving this place a miss.
I’m gluten intolerant and had no flare up.
The Dreaded Burger Break-Up
Vegan burgers are notorious for falling to bits in your hands.
There’s nothing worse than a burger break-up.
Oh, wait…there is,
Having to dismantle one just to eat it.
Yeah, you’ve been there, right?
Anyway, I’ve had my fair share of burger breakups in the past.
The flower burger I had in Milan Italy, was the worst!
It ended up a pile of mushroom muck!
It’s what I call… Smuck! Haha.
Yet, fair do’s, this feisty burger held together pretty well.
In fact, it was patty perfect.
No one bite squishy-ness.
No chickpea crumble.
And no Smuck!
Just a yummy-licious bonny burger.
Where they get those gluten free baps from, I have no idea.
But I wanna know!
The fluffiest, lightest gluten free bread buns I’ve ever had!
Seriously, I thought she’d made a mistake.
I went marching back to make sure my bun was gluten free.
If I can replicate these bad boys,
My days of eating cardboard bread will be over.
Talking about gluten free buns,
I had an amazing vegan burger at in Milan Italy,
Their toasted gluten free buns were CRAZILY good!
Anyway, back to what I was saying.
If you fancy a mean bean burger, head to VBurger in Camden Market.
These burger boys know how to make belly busting burgers for on the go.
And I mean… ON THE GO.
Coz theres literally no seating.
Yeah, I probably should of mentioned that earlier.
